About the Trust
We are no ordinary trust. We hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers. We are an integrated provider of acute hospital and community services to the people of Stockport, as well serving the populations of East Cheshire and the High Peak in North Derbyshire.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Responsible for Consumables – Manage & facilitate requests, distribute and order stock – ensuring minimum stock levels at all times of basic kit & printer consumables for all areas of the trust.
· Obtain competitive quotes for IT equipment, IT support/ maintenance and any other service required.
· Raise orders for IT goods/ services.
· Maintain detailed and accurate transaction records in the master order control spread sheet
· Receive goods, ensuring that they have been signed for and stored securely
· Ensure that goods received are examined and are in accordance with specification.
· Record goods received in the Trust’s devolved ordering system.
· Raise jobs for new equipment installations via the service desk system, chase progress with technicians, and keep recipient informed of progress.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Previous NHS experience
· Previous IT experience
· Previous admin experience
· NHS System Knowledge
This role may require you to show evidence of ECDL or at least 2 years IT experience.
