Our client based in Greater Manchester is currently looking for an experienced IT Security Architecture Lead. You will help drive the IT Security Architecture to develop our client's security controls and services to protect applications, products, IT, networks, and services.

You will help implement and disseminate the Security Architecture capability, and Operationalise processes and tools that align with recognised best practices and the company's Information Security Policies, Standards, and Control Framework. You will also ensure that the information security architecture aspects of newly developed services and applications are optimised to protect data, IP, people, customers, and brand reputation.

Responsibilities:

• You will be expected to capture and articulate business objectives and convert these into appropriate processes, supported by correctly, configured tools so that comprehensive security services can be delivered to the business.


• A helpful, collaborative approach will be required to help encourage the effective adoption and implementation of sound security services and associated engineering practices.


• Support the evolving Information Security operating model by developing robust information security and risk management controls and contributing to the definition and enhancement of security policies and standards.


• You will manage and drive security architecture, taking into consideration developments in security practices, business operations, and threat environments


• Work closely with the Dev Ops and Information Security’s Dev Sec Ops resources to advise on and support the implementation and normalisation of secure coding practices and standards


• Develop data encryption and tokenization standards and practices for our client

Skills and Experience:

• Proven expertise in Information Security Architecture best practices,


• Comprehensive knowledge of information security controls and the primary control frameworks currently recognised as examples of best practice (CIS, NIST, ISO, etc.),


• Understanding of the security implications of internationally recognised standards (PCI DSS, SOX, and GDPR),


• Good problem-solving analytical skills,


• Proven planning and organisational abilities,


• A clear understanding of information security architecture, planning, resourcing, costing, and implementation.


• Good understanding of Risk Management Frameworks,


• Awareness of agile environments and practices,


• Awareness of the predominant operating systems, including but not limited to Windows, Linux, and Unix,


• Awareness of Database technologies (SQL, Oracle, DB2, Mongo) and associated threats,


• Awareness of security controls in widely used technologies, e.g. MS Office
