A tech focused insurer is looking for a Solution Architect with expertise in the software space along with proficiency in Azure (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS). The key project you will be involved is a full migration to a brand new Azure platform.

This is a brand new role within a brand new team in a brand new office in Manchester. There's huge career progression opportunities given that you would be joining at the start of the journey and the team based in Manchester will continue to grow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into coherent technical solutions that align with their technology vision.


• Execute tasks within enterprise-level initiatives, concentrating on digital and cloud environments. This encompasses development, application revamping, and integration tactics.


• Validate that solutions adhere to internal technical architectural standards, in addition to external regulatory requisites.


• Record both current and proposed architecture for different transformational projects.


• Foster effective communication with neighboring and worldwide cross-functional teams representing diverse backgrounds.


• Oversee solutions across multiple project teams.

Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of 3 years' experience functioning as a Solution Architect, particularly within the realm of digital applications, software engineering, microservices, cloud, and BPM.


• Possess a firm grasp of architectural principles, methodologies, and approaches.


• Previously engaged with Azure cloud technologies, covering IAAS, PAAS, SAAS.


• Display proficient familiarity with design patterns and modeling notations like UML and BPMN, coupled with robust design and documentation proficiencies.


• Demonstrate expertise in technical architecture roles spanning all phases of the development life cycle.


• Showcase remarkable adeptness in managing stakeholders, client interactions, and communication. This encompasses exceptional written and verbal aptitude, as well as the capacity to present data and conclusions to stakeholders in an intelligible yet influential manner.


• Capable of offering counsel and direction on systems architecture design strategies.


• Possess a track record of designing and delivering extensive, intricate integrated IT solutions.


• Experience within the insurance or similarly regulated industry (desirable)
