This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Supplier Manager to join our IT Procurement and Supplier Management team which sits within the Group Transformation business area of Royal London.
Our purpose is to be a trusted and valued commercial capability that delivers significant business cost, risk and relationship management value and to create a centre of commercial excellence for the Royal London Group through best in class procurement and supplier management.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management and development of commercial relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT third parties, working with the relevant business stakeholders to lead the compliance of a structured Third Party Management Framework that covers performance, risk, cost and relationship considerations.
You will contribute to the development of the Category strategy and contract renewal negotiations, leading on and managing any changes to existing contractual arrangements.
About the role
Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships
Provide governance in line with the guidance set out in Royal London’s Supplier Management Handbook
Manage key controls ensuring suppliers are operating to contractual SLAs and in line with our risk appetite
Lead on service improvement plans and drive Value from best-in-class supplier management
Undertake on-going pro-active reviews of existing supplier contracts, working in collaboration with the Procurement team and business stakeholders
Negotiate and manage contractual requirements including regulatory changes
Responsible for all relevant supplier risk management and audit activities, ensuring risks are captured, reported, and effective mitigation and management interventions are in place
Contribute and support the Category Strategy for the suppliers within scope
About you
Previous experience within a supplier management role
Strong planning and organisational skills
Ability to manage a variety of complex activities simultaneously
Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships (internal and external)
Understanding of models and approaches / techniques to achieve best in class supplier management
Proven negotiation skills and comprehensive knowledge of contract law
