About the Team



My clients team provide IT support across all departments to support the business needs. The role of a Security analyst is to provide IT support to users as well as manage, develop and improve the IT security posture of the business. You will play an important role in reviewing and enhancing the security of the existing IT systems.



Duties include:


Security



  • Working on IT security projects as required

  • Recommending and implementing additional IT security measures to the business

  • Development of new and improved security monitoring solutions

  • Assisting with IT security audits.



Support - Providing general IT support to all departments alongside other members of the team.



  • Operating System Support (Windows Server and Desktop OS)

  • Microsoft Teams Direct Routing

  • Networking

  • WIFI Solution (Net Extreme IQ)

  • Mobile phone (Android and iOS)

  • VPN Support

  • Security solutions (Intune, AV, MFA)

  • Communication with stakeholders, ensuring they are given clear and regular updates.

  • Analysis of System monitoring, flagging any IT issues pro-actively

  • Carrying out daily checks and recording in daily operations journal.

  • Corrective action planning. Working within a team to swiftly address problems before later implementing solutions that prevent recurrence.

  • Ensuring Company information data remains secure.

  • Support and upkeep of MS Teams Direct routing solution (with third-party)

  • Support of corporate mobile phones (with third-party)

  • Network troubleshooting and diagnosis (with third-party)

  • Remote support of home and mobile workers

  • Upkeep and enhancement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within the business

  • Review, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to provide consistent and approved methods.



Skills & Experience:


Knowledge and skills in the following areas are essential.



  • A strong understanding of IT security principles

  • Windows Desktop OS Support (Windows 10 and 11)

  • Windows scripting tools (e.g. PowerShell/Batch files)

  • Windows Server support (Active Directory)

  • Microsoft 365 Administration and applications support

  • VMWare vCenter/vSphere



Additional experience in any of the following would be an advantage:



  • Cyber security qualifications.

  • Experience of working in a production environment/warehouse operation

  • ESXi (VMware virtualisation)

  • NetApp

  • ExtremeCloud IQ Wi-Fi Solutions
