The IT Administrator will provide general support to IT Management and the wider team. Whilst the role is primarily administrative, the IT Assistant will have the opportunity to learn from IT professionals and make use of exciting new technology and tools.




Role Responsibility


Main Responsibilities for IT Administrator:



  • Provide general support for the IT team.

  • Support IT purchasing and financial management (raising purchase requests, approving payments, accrual management, finance calendar management, etc.).

  • Support the production of internal reporting.

  • Management and administration of IT function SharePoint pages.

  • Deal with the day-to-day enquiries by phone, letter and email and referring to other members of the team as appropriate.

  • Respond to queries, tailoring the approach to meet the needs of different groups or individuals.

  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders both externally and internally.

  • Support meetings by setting up equipment, taking notes, actions and producing the minutes.

  • Produce documents and reports on behalf of the team.

  • Manage and operate information systems such as document management.

  • Assist in the onboarding, induction and training of new and temporary members of staff.




The Ideal Candidate


Essential Criteria for IT Administrator:



  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

  • Experience working in a similar role.

  • Experience of managing financial processes.

  • Experience of introducing and maintaining office and administrative procedures.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • The ability to communicate confidently with individuals at all levels both within and outside the organisation.

  • Good standards of numeracy and literacy.

  • Good organisational skills.

  • The ability to act on own initiative, work unsupervised and be a self-starter.

  • The ability to use standard Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint) and websites.
