Your role

Did you know you don’t have to complete an internship to work in financial services? UBS's Apprenticeship program provides ambitious and talented individuals with an alternative route to a career in financial services. You'll earn a salary working in the exciting and fast-paced environment, whilst completing training for a recognized qualification offering a fee-free on-the-job education alternative to the traditional university route.

Are you a detail-oriented multitasker? Do you know how to make sure things run smoothly? We’re looking for Business Administration Apprentices to support our Global Banking Teams.

We offer our employees a rewarding and challenging career. In addition to the exciting challenges from your day-to-day role, successful candidates will be provided training on a variety of technical and behavioural topics.

A normal day will differ from role to role, but typically you’ll:

  • manage and maintain calendars, including conference calls, vacation, travel and client meetings

  • coordinate travel arrangements, including complex/extensive multi-country journeys and travel visas

  • provide organizational support to the team

  • liaise with assistants from multiple teams across the firm and ensure forward planning for meetings and deliverables.

  • take care of settlement of accounts, processing invoices and expenses

Your team

You’ll be working within Global Banking, part of the UBS Investment Bank, supporting various teams with administration and coordination tasks.

Your expertise

You need to have completed your A-levels or equivalent by September 2024 achieved BCC and Level 5 or above in Mathematics and English Language GCSE

It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But we’d like to see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision

  • plan, organize and communicate well

  • make things happen

  • stick with a task

  • work in a team

  • come up with ideas

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.

Your Program

For the first 15-18 months you will be studying towards the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship; advanced apprenticeship award, gaining relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to build a foundation to your career in Business Administration.
