Contracts Administrator (Part time - 15 hours)



Reporting of the Role This role reports to the Head of People, Broadcasting & Content.


Overview of job



Our radio presenters and voiceover artists are the voice of Global. Signing the right talent is essential to drive forward the sound of our brands and the audience growth we all crave.



We are looking for a part time (15 hours per flex) Contracts Administrator to manage the administration of Global’s presenter agreements process. You will be drafting contracts (from template) and sending them out via Adobe Sign. Keeping on top of deadlines, maintaining accurate records and assisting with reporting.

Measures of success – In the first few months, you would have:



  • Built great relationships with your internal partners in P&C, Legal and Broadcasting & Content


  • Got to grips with Contract Works, the contract management software we use


  • Reviewed the various contract templates and other documents commonly employed


  • Fully understood our process as is


  • Learnt about IR35 legislation and how that impacts presenters and other freelancers




Responsibilities of the role



  • Maintaining the contract management system for freelance presenters and other on-air talent, voiceover artists, etc.


  • Building relationships and communicating with the Managing Editors on Heart, Capital, Smooth, Radio X (all brands), Classic FM, Gold and LBC, re: new contract requests and existing extensions/re-issues.


  • Drafting contracts from existing template documents and gaining approval from B&C Director before sending


  • Working closely with your colleague in Legal on any slightly off-kilter contract wording requests that may have come in from presenters or their agents


  • Sending contracts for signature to presenters and their agents where applicable


  • Uploading signed contracts into ContractWorks


  • Supporting with IR35 compliance across the freelance presenter population


  • Other ad-hoc but related work, where required




What you will need


The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Previous experience in a contracts role desirable


  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail


  • Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude


  • Strong MS Word skills, intermediate knowledge re: Adobe suite


  • A very keen eye! You will have already noticed this isn’t the first time attention to detail has been mentioned in this text


  • High emotional intelligence and good influencing skills


  • Comfortable managing a group of senior stakeholders and approaching each in the best way possible to ensure the best possible outcomes


  • We may ask you to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
