Receptionist / Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Receptionist /administrator, to join our Audiology Team. This post will be based at Charing Cross hospital in Hammersmith but there may be a need to work at other sites across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
As the first point of contact for our patients, you must be enthusiastic, possess excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, demonstrate a clear telephone manner and be highly motivated. Essential qualities needed are strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, and support other members of the team when required to do so.
Applicants should demonstrate previous experience of working within a customer/patient orientated environment and should have experience using IT systems (ideally hospital patient management systems). Following a period of training, you will be expected to input data through Cerner and AuditBase (Audiology patient management) IT systems. Your main duties will include meeting and greeting patients /booking/rearranging patient appointments by telephone/email/text, inputting data, posting out accessories, booking in ear moulds from the laboratory and general administrative duties. It is desirable that you have previous experience of working with the general public ideally within a healthcare environment and also dealing with a high volumes of calls on daily basis.
The purpose of this role is to provide reception, administration and clerical duties within the Audiology Department. The post holder will be expected to use their own initiative and work independently often without supervision. The aim of the role is to provide a high quality service, ensuring that our service users' needs are met.
The post holder will be given training in the different systems used across the service.
