The role
Provide first-class executive support to our Corporate Management Team. Southwark is an amazingly diverse and vibrant area with a strong sense of community. The role of an executive assistant fundamentally requires you to be an ambassador for your respective Corporate Management Team member/s and their department. You will work closely with Cabinet Members and senior officers from across the council, in regular communication with a wide variety of people, coordinate calendars, project related support and an essential point of contact for the Corporate Management Team. We are looking for an exceptionally organised Executive Assistant to support the following roles:
- Executive Assistant to Strategic Director of Environment, Neighbourhoods and Growth and Assistant Chief Executive, Strategy & Communities (Shared Support)

About You:
- Your previous experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will serve you well.
- Your expertise in using Microsoft Office 365 will enable you to work effectively and collaboratively in a fully digital and agile way.
- Your excellent written and verbal communication skills are key to you effectively engaging and collaborating with officers and members to deliver positive outcomes for the Corporate Management Team.
- You will be discrete and able to deal with sensitive and confidential information professionally, as well as a high degree of attention to detail.
- You will be inclusive and empathetic, focused on continuous improvement, have a growth mindset and have a collaborative, can-do attitude.
Additional Information:
- This is a x1 permanent full time position:
- Standard 36 hours, Monday - Friday
- A Basic DBS check will be required
