IT Engineer - Hybrid Working - £50,000pa

An established IT Services company based in Hemel Hempstead are looking for an IT Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a collaborative and supportive environment who offer continued training and development.

As the IT Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the availability of all live services. Your role will include the monitoring, performance, support, administration and capacity management of all live services to ensure the SLA, performance and availability targets are met. You will also be involved in project delivery to internal and customer environments.
Key responsibilities as the IT Engineer include troubleshooting and resolving any issues, supporting the infrastructure to ensure systems are stable, performing maintenance tasks, regular security, health and compliance checks, providing expertise across infrastructure and networking technologies and participating in problem management activities to determine causes of incidents and work towards permanent resolutions. You will also be involved in research and development of new technologies and methodologies, you will scope project requirements and develop project delivery plans, deliver infrastructure projects and assist the 1st and 2nd line Service Desk teams with incident diagnosis and fault resolution.
The ideal candidate will have 3rd Line/Infrastructure Engineer experience, excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills, expertise in network packet tracing and analysis and hold a minimum the following qualifications; two Microsoft qualifications (e.g. MCP, MCTS etc), ITIL v3 Foundation, two IT qualifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA, Citrix CCAA, VMware VCP, HP ProLiant Servers etc).
You will have experience in the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers, Active Directory, RAID arrays and SANs, Server hardware, Networking inc VLANs, QoS, routing and Firewalls. Experience with WDS and MDT, group policy, security and scripting is desirable.
The salary on offer is up to £50,000 per annum plus a great benefits package.
