An industry leading software solution company for live sporting events has a fantastic opportunity to join their support team.
As a Support Engineer, your role will be responsible for providing 2nd line technical support to the operations and R&D teams that function across the globe.
You will be responsible for resolving customer issues that are affecting performance of their product, ensuring issues are reported, resolved and summarised for continuous development. Working closely with the Operations and R&D teams to analyse, troubleshoot and recommend development solutions to improve performance of the product during live use and helping customers implement and operate the company's system effectively. You will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining knowledge databases. Specific experience of providing customer support for SaaS or technical video solutions would be considered highly advantageous.
To be considered for this role applicants must have a sound knowledge of computer software and hardware, whilst ideally understanding broadcasting operations. Candidates will either have BA/BS/MA/MS in Information technology, Media technology, Computer Science or related discipline. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are essential within the role, as is working collaboratively with a small team. Due to the bespoke and unique nature of this software solution, full training will be provided, however, candidates must demonstrate both knowledge and interest in either media technology or IT software.
The position is a remote based opportunity however, some European travel will be expected in the first 6 months of this role to facilitate on-site training. This role is offered based on a 40 hour per week, however, this includes on-call responsibilities during weekends, unsocial hours and public holidays on a rotational basis.
