IT Support Engineer Full Time

Based in NW London, they are looking to recruit a shift-based IT Support Engineer to join their Operations Services team to look after and manage the in house systems & data processing.


The Engineer will be required to work with the other engineers on rotating early – late shifts and be involved with the following activities:



  • Ensuring inbound and outbound customer files are processed / generated and successfully transmitted

  • Roll out of new products, applications and configurations in conjunction with Customer Product Managers

  • Creation and actioning of test plans to ensure system integrity & stability

  • Completion of all associated administrative duties such as RFC, incident logs, work instructions and quality documentation

  • Raising, analysing and actioning incidents within an ITIL framework


The site operates on an early/late shift basis 5 days a week, and therefore Production system availability is paramount. The successful candidate must be able to work to tight timeframes in a pressurised environment, have a quick & analytical mindset and be able to apply fixes to ensure system downtime is minimised.


Engineer Position Overview



  • Day-to-day reconciliation of inbound / outbound files

  • Creation / amendment / retirement of customer products

  • Installation, configuration and test of in-house developed applications and services

  • Completion of fully auditable logs and paperwork trails for all activities

  • Escalation of incidents to appropriate departments when required

  • Configuration of manufacturing equipment

  • Recording and effective management of Production IT incidents / problems / faults

  • Perform unit, system and user acceptance tests on the in house systems




IT Support Engineer Position Requirements



  • Formal IT qualification or higher education essential

  • Experience with IT help desk advantageous

  • In-depth Windows OS understanding

  • Experience of working with custom-developed applications

  • ITIL qualification

  • Basic EMV knowledge is preferred
