ELFS is an NHS owned Shared Service organisation providing back-office transactional services to many NHS Trusts across England. Established in 2002, We are a business division of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. over the last 20 years we have helped the Trusts we work with to improve their services whilst reducing back-office costs. We work in partnership with our clients building a strong working relationship and putting our customers at the heart of what we do. As a result of our drive to grow and to deliver added value to our customers, we have created a new role of IT Development and Support manager to join the team and take the lead in managing the teams’ capabilities for developing technology solutions with the objective of delivering cost efficient services. The role will have accountability for ongoing support and development of both bespoke ELFS and 3rd party software to support our clients and the ELFS team. We are looking for an individual with system development experience who is driven to lead the way on optimise our IT resources whilst ensuring a fantastic customer experience and reducing cost. You will have responsibility for daily management, on-going support and maintenance (including training), service development and technical administration of the Microsoft Power platform and our CRM platform called Hornbill Service Manager which is the main system recording requests received at ELFS which is used internally by operational staff but also externally by our clients. Provide technical support and advice to end users, of all disciplines, and departments across our client base. You will be part of the Business Systems team and will be expected to work closely with other Operational staff across varying divisions and departments within ELFS. In addition you will lead in all areas relating to the system management and also be involved in any changes that happen for systems in terms of setup, new developments and feature roll outs. This includes liaising with the system provider in regards to upgrades, potential system developments and business as usual issues. Currently we operate from 3 locations in the North West of England with our main office being based in Darwen in Lancashire. Working in ELFS gives you the knowledge and a sense of pride that the work you do enables our customers to focus on delivering patient services.- • Initial set up and ongoing support & administration of the ELFS Tenant in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Build an internal capability in Microsoft Power platform through recruitment of a new role and upskilling existing team members.
- Migration (insourcing) of the ASKAP portal from the 3rd party supplier to the ELFS Azure Tenant and support model.
- Work with Head of Accounts Payable to deliver new ASKAP features based on complexity and ROI.
- Accountable for managing QMS Vendor (Hornbill) to ensure we get a cost-effective high availability service.
- Work with QMS Vendor (Hornbill) to improve performance of the Payroll Portal through introduction of new features and also explore opportunities for wider use cases across our Finance and Treasury teams.
- Manage the ELFS IT Support desk, resolving local problems at Viscount House and also owning the relationship with ELHT for provision of core IT services (hardware, software, network, security).
- Allocation of work to Departmental personnel as required
- Adhere to the approved Standard Operating Procedures used in the Department and Trust
- Comply with legislation, policies and procedures
- Use and maintain resources efficiently and effectively
- Support the development of Technology
- Innovate and participate in discussion around new ways of working and new technology trend
