IOE is UCL Faculty of Education and Society. Founded in 1902, IOE has been shaping policy and helping government, organisations and individuals navigate a changing society for the last 120 years. Led by the Director and Dean, the IOE Directorate is the central administrative office for the IOE and acts as the point of contact for senior central UCL officers, other faculties of UCL and external organisations. It is responsible for setting, managing and monitoring the overall strategic direction and operational plans for the IOE. The Directorate comprises the following staff: Director & Dean, Pro-Director Education, Pro-Director Research and Development, Pro-Director Academic Development, Director of Operations, Head of Finance, Director of Strategy, Policy and Public Affairs. The Directorate works closely with the six Heads of Department, and the leads for professional services departments within the IOE, including research services, business and enterprise, and marketing and communications.


About the role


You will be primarily responsible for providing executive administrative support to members of the Directorate’s Executive team. You will be required to support these senior staff with the organisation of their time, workload and agendas. Reporting into the Executive Officer, the role holder will also manage duties such as committee servicing, compliance and governance duties. These posts make up part of the wider IOE professional services team and will therefore provide a range of support on relevant faculty projects and administration as and when required. Please note the position is hybrid 40% on-campus / Remote 60%.


About you


You will have experience of financial administration and monitoring budgetary expenditure and excellent IT skills, including e-mail, word processing, the use of spreadsheets. Experience of working in the Higher Education sector is desirable.
