Wills & Probate Legal Secretary Full Time

Movera are looking to recruit an experienced Wills & Probate Legal Secretary to support the Wills & Probate Team. Working within our O’Neill Patient Solicitors (ONP) division and Grindeys division, this full-time role will work across both our Stockport and Stoke office. (The role will be based predominately in Stockport but the successful candidate will spend 1-2 days a week at the Stoke Office)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful Wills & Probate Team and work alongside highly experienced Solicitors, who are experts in their field.


Key Responsibilities:


Providing a high level of support to the Wills & Probate department Fee Earners the Wills & Probate secretary will undertake the following duties:



  • Managing the extensive Will Bank currently stored at the Grindeys office in Stoke

  • Managing client contact via phone, email and in person, including meeting and attending upon clients in office to collect their Wills

  • Audio typing letters, reports, file notes and other general administrative duties including scanning, faxing and photocopying

  • Opening and closing case files and maintaining the filing system and case management system

  • Maintaining information on ONPs and Grindeys system, ensuring all new matter instructions are set up promptly

  • Managing fee-earner diaries and arranging appointments

  • Archiving, including retrieval of files from offsite storage and procedures for recording of new matters.

  • Develop a culture of teamwork, with a strong focus on customer care


Person Specification:



  • At least 2 years' experience in a Legal Secretarial role

  • Experience dealing with Wills & Probate matters

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships

  • Experienced using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
