The department is UKAS accredited and deals with approximately 18000 Histology samples We carry out approximately 9000 immunohistochemistry tests per year. It is staffed by a busy and professional yet friendly team consisting of Histopathology Consultants and trainees, Biomedical Scientists (BMS), Associate Practitioners (AP), support and secretarial staff working together to deliver a high quality service. We are a training accredited laboratory and have well-structured training policies for staff carrying out portfolio work. We have very high standards for work and expect the successful candidate to be aware of and contribute to improved workflows within the department.
