Wills & Probate Secretary

Predominately based in Stockport offices, but will require travel to Stoke office 1-2 days a week (all travel expenses paid to Stoke)

A leading provider of legal services are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wills & Probate Secretary to join their well-established team. Based primarily in the Stockport office, this role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to work alongside highly skilled Solicitors and contribute to the success of their Wills & Probate department.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Wills & Probate Secretary, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the extensive Will Bank stored in Stoke


• Handling client communication via phone, email, and in person, including face-to-face meetings with clients to collect their Wills


• Audio typing and other administrative tasks, such as


• Opening and closing case files, maintaining the filing system, and managing the case management system


• Updating information on their systems, ensuring prompt setup of all new matter instructions


• Managing the diaries of fee-earners and scheduling appointments


• Archiving, including retrieving files from offsite storage and recording new matters


• Cultivating a culture of teamwork with a strong focus on customer care

Person Specification:

• At least 2 years of experience in a Legal Secretarial role


• Previous experience dealing with Wills & Probate matters


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships


• Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
