Roehampton Gate School are looking to recruit an outstanding ICT Teacher (qualified or unqualified) to join our Teaching team!


We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 -19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Located in Roehampton, SW London, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.



Main duties:



  • To carry out the professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified / un-qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.

  • Teach a class of pupils, ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning, speech and language and social needs;

  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;

  • Provide timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders including SLT, parent/carers and Local Authority caseworkers;

  • Provide accurate assessments of learning and progress and matched against aspirational and appropriate targets;

  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom and to promote independence and the love of learning

  • To deliver ICT lessons to students at Key Stage 3 to build their competencies in computer literacy in preparation for working in a digital world.

  • To develop an interest and basic understanding of coding at Key Stage 3

  • To deliver Computer Science GCSE to year 10 and 11 students.

  • To promote E-safety across the school through specific lessons and tutorials

  • To support with the distribution of ICT resources across the school

  • .o support the leadership team with developing IT literacy across the school

  • To undertake the role of form tutor.

Organisation – You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
