About The Role



This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Schools Digital and IT Team. Use of a car is desirable as this role is mainly based at school sites in Hounslow.



In this role you’ll be primarily providing technical support to our school ICT systems across all Win10 desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, Apple and Android devices, Audio Visual equipment, printers and servers.



You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in Office products including Office 365, Google workspace, Sophos antivirus, server management, Unifi Wi-Fi system, networking, web filtering, mobile device management, CCTV and telephony.



About The Team You’ll Be Working In



The Schools Digital and IT Team is a dedicated team within the IT department of Hounslow Council who specialise in IT solutions for education. From network security to full ICT support in the classrooms, the team is well placed to support the day to day bespoke requirements of all schools and our Adult Learning and Community centres.



We support teachers and students in the classroom as well as working with the SLT team to work on improvement plans.


You will be reporting to the Digital & IT Team Leader and will also work with Senior Digital and IT colleagues.



About You

1. You will have a good understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working within a school environment.



2. The candidate should be flexible with good communications skills, enthusiastic and able to work with a range of people as part of a team, but also independently.



3. You will have experience of working within an ICT environment, diagnosing and solving technical problems.



4. An understanding of networks, LAN, WAN and internet topologies and protocols is desirable.
