We’re looking for a Desktop Support Analyst with knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory and Microsoft Office to join our team, providing an on-site presence for both reactive and proactive desk-side IT support services at the group’s offices, sheltered housing schemes and other nationwide locations where Clarion provide corporate IT services. Although primarliy based at our office in More London Place there may be an occasional need to travel to other Clarion locations.
Able to interact with all levels of an organisation in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner and to explain technical detail in an understandable way, you’ll ensure all customers are dealt with in a positive manner, are assured that the call is initiated and will be resolved within agreed SLA timescales. Customer focused with strong customer service skills, you’ll ensure that calls are closed only when both the customer and analyst are satisfied that the issue has been resolved.
With strong verbal and written communication skills you’ll record all incidents and service requests in the ITSM system, ensure that they are logged with as much detail as possible and ensuring that communication back to the customer is clear and concise. You’ll assist with the communication of major incidents by ensuring key users and stakeholders are kept up to date with consistent information.
You’ll have an understanding of anti-virus software and security threats, TCP/IP & networking and experience of network cabling and patching. With previous involvement in successful IT projects you’ll also act as a resource when requested to meet any IT project requirements or project prerequisites.
We’ll look to you to successfully develop and deliver presentations, hands-on workshops and other training sessions designed to educate customers on IT service improvements, new pieces of hardware, software and processes, either on a one-to-one or group basis. You’ll be expected to identify trends and network security risks and to review the desktop environment to highlight equipment that requires replacement or potential capacity problems.
