The Faculty of Humanities is one of three faculties in the University of Manchester and consists of four Schools that offer an unprecedented range of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The Student Service, Success and Development Team is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Administrator.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
- To take responsibility for the administration of teaching and learning, and student administration student recruitment and international development, student success and development related activities across the area assigned to including Student and Academic Services Course Delivery or Student Administration teams; and Institute of Teaching and Learning teams, and School based Assessment and Progression; Curriculum and Programmes; Clinical Delivery / Placements: and Accreditation teams.
- To support a culture of excellent service provision and continuous improvement, placing the student experience at the heart of what we do with support for a single Professional Services (PS) team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.
The successful candidate should have relevant knowledge and experience, including teaching and learning, and/or student administrative policies and procedure. They will be supporting the student experience, and student success, but working in a largely non-student facing role directly supporting senior academic and professional services colleagues.
They should be flexible and responsive to customer needs with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide information, advice and guidance whilst maintaining confidentiality. Furthermore, they should have excellent organisational skills with attention to detail, be comfortable working independently and also as part of a small team,and be able to manage and prioritise a large variety of work activities in a busy environment to meet strict deadlines.
