Job Purpose/Objectives of an IT Support Apprentice
The IT Support Apprentice is a 'hands-on' role of service delivery of the business facing IT support on a day-to-day basis; delivering IT first line support.
Key Responsibilities of an IT Support Apprentice
- MS Office 365 administration
- End user desktop support
- End user application support
- Hardware & Infrastructure support
- IT Helpdesk and Service management software
Dimensions of the IT Support Apprentice Role
- Day-to-day IT first line support operations & service delivery.
- Break-fix IT support across circa 800 staff and 30 locations
- Preventative maintenance
- Microsoft Office 365 administration (Teams, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI)
- New user setup (Hardware, Software, System access)
- Leaver process
Operating principles of the Role
- Work closely with the existing ACH teams, third party partners and other ACH functions as a first line contact for IT support services
- Build credibility with relevant business owners across ACH functions
- An ability to build credibility with business colleagues
Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience of:
- MSOffice365
- Windows 10 & 11
- Laptop & Desktop hardware
Skills:
- Self-management of day-to-day tasks
- Capabilities to operate to structured methods and standards
- IT problem solving
- Task completion within a specific timeframe
- Working in a team
- Willing to learn and apply themselves
