About the role


Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure the Systems Administrator will take receipt of new and ongoing support for IT infrastructure across the European offices. Due to the nature of the role, there will be IT infrastructure project work to be carried out.


The Systems Administrator will be working within the Group IT team, taking responsibility for the Salford office infrastructure and associated satellite offices. The successful candidate will be involved in the overall IT Project roadmap and will play a key role in delivering a successful global IT service.



About you


You’ll need to be able to demonstrate excellent IT setup, service and troubleshooting skills. You will have experience working with all Microsoft products including Windows operating systems, Active Directory and the Office 365 stack.


It’s important to understand the day-to-day business processes and can align technology to business value. You will have experience operating a service desk, prioritizing ticket requests and issues whilst taking security into consideration at all times.


Organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also essential to maintain a high-quality service level.


You’ll be a natural problem solver, analytical, inquisitive and have a desire to keep up with emerging technologies. But most importantly of all, you will need to have high levels of self-motivation, innovation and the drive to really make a difference.


Requirements


Skills Expertise:



  • Extensive expertise in an IT service desk/support-related role

  • Excellent working knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure including Windows Server, Office 365 and skilled in supporting remote users

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication and internal service skills


Key Skills / Technology Expertise:



  • Client/Server technologies, Windows OS, Active Directory, Asset Management, Troubleshooting, Networking, Supplier Management


Beneficial Skills / Technology Expertise:



  • Azure, Security, Project Management, ITIL


Essential Function / Responsibilities:



  • Provide service desk support to all internal K3 staff across EMEA

  • Pro-actively monitor and maintain IT services

  • Work with suppliers to provision hardware and software in a timely manner

  • Ensure assets are protected and accounted for

  • Contribute to the Group IT Project Roadmap


Location:


Salford, Manchester - Based in the Manchester office, but successful candidates will require occasional travel to K3 offices within UK and Europe


Working Hours:


Normal Hours of work: 37.5 a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm with an hour lunch break, remote/hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office, as and when required
