About the role
It's an exciting time to join the UK CTO Technology Architecture team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes.
Working for the Chief Technology Officer, you'll define, design, oversee and deliver the solution architecture for the implementation of new and changes to existing systems for a portfolio of strategic projects. You'll keep abreast of changes in the external environment to proactively contribute to the development and governance of IT strategy in the area of solution architecture (inclusive of application, integration, data/information, cloud/infrastructure and security) and associated development tools.
At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you could predominantly work from home or depending on your role, you may travel with purpose to visit an office or client site. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering appropriate project solutions to ensure that the solutions delivered are aligned to the customer and IT strategy and meet their needs
- Manage key stakeholder expectations to ensure they are aligned with the target architecture and roadmap
- Communicate solution designs, options, risks and financial estimation to ensure all stakeholders are well-informed and up to date on all matters
- Deliver the solution architecture end-to-end including application, integration, data/information, cloud/infrastructure and security by working with CTO colleagues (functional, technical, and enterprise architects), wider CIO disciplines and business customers
- Research market trends and identify upcoming solutions, conduct POC testing and report POC results to ensure solutions remain competitive against the market trends
- Advise and provide guidance on implementation of new technology solutions and technology-related risks to ensure an accurate implementation plan and estimation of financial costs is outlined
About you
What we’re looking for:
- Previous IT experience in a large commercial organisation
- Previous experience & proven track record in a consultancy or technical design role
- Must have worked on a wide range of projects up to and including very large-scale programmes
- Track record of successful design roles undertaken within large projects and technically complex architectures
- Knowledge of one or more sets of applications or key technologies (MS Azure Cloud, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Card Payment) in use within the company
- Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and their potential to deliver business benefits
- Ability to assimilate information quickly, clearly identify key issues and present information concisely
- Ability to develop and maintain a wide network of useful contacts, both in the business and IT, and with 3rd party suppliers/vendors as appropriate
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
