Who we are looking for
A Management Information Systems (MIS) Developer to join our multi-disciplined development team, delivering a wide range of .NET products. MIS are responsible for meeting a wide range of demands from many international regulatory government bodies. This includes building Windows services and MVC web applications, providing RESTful and SOAP APIs for international regulators to integrate with and consume data, as well as integrating with 3rd party RESTful and SOAP APIs to push data payloads. You must be efficient, responsive and fault tolerant. Data transfers can be high volume, high velocity as well as large batches of millions of rows. Dashboards and tooling will require some frontend design and implementation skills however the end product is for internal use only. You will be responsible for writing good quality C# code in .NET Core and .NET Framework ensuring you adhere to the required processes and standards,. The role also involves building out dashboards and tooling for use by the development and management functions. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
Commercial software development experience in C#.
Knowledge of .NET Core, RESTful and SOAP APIs, .NET Framework, MVC and n-Tier architectures.
Proven track record of delivering high quality, scalable software solutions.
Experience integrating with SQL Server.
Experience of integrating with CI and CD delivery mechanisms, such as Jenkins and Octopus.
Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Passion for software development and technology.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
