Senior IT Engineer - Microsoft, Network, Support

Rochdale - £35,000 - £40,000

Applause IT are proud to be working with a charitable organisation based in Rochdale looking build out their IT support function with a Senior IT Engineer ready to take the next step in their journey / career.

You will be responsible for overseeing the ICT Support team, ensuring the efficient delivery of services and serving as a central point of contact for all ICT-related incidents and requests. As well as assisting the IT Manager in the day-to-day operations, guaranteeing that all incidents and requests are managed in accordance with key performance indicators (KPIs) to proactively enhance service levels.

The successful Senior IT Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.


• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and a track record of meeting tight deadlines.


• Capable of leading and implementing changes.


• Supervisory experience in a technical service desk environment, including proficiency in providing 1st to 3rd line support.


• Familiarity with Windows 10 and newer versions, including the Microsoft 365 suite.


• Experience in supporting CCTV, printers, mobile devices, and tablets.


• Operational knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMware.


• Proficiency in utilizing various troubleshooting methods, including network topology.
