Job Purpose

Are you driven by a passion for problem-solving and providing assistance to students?

Apply now to be part of a thriving environment where your skills and expertise will flourish, and where you can contribute to the smooth operation of the university's administrative functions.

In the role of University Central Administration Officer, you'll be a crucial part of the Central Administration and Enquiries team. Your primary responsibilities include managing student records from registration to graduation and offering excellent service by handling student inquiries. Additionally, you may need to help other teams with administrative tasks during busy periods, such as answering calls, managing mail, and addressing general queries.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will handle student inquiries through various channels like the Case Management System, email, and telephone, covering topics such as exam details, results, transcripts, letters, ID cards, and personal information changes. You will also assist in releasing exam results and registering students for in-person exams on campus.

Additionally, your responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of student information, including personal details, identification, qualifications, and correspondence, and keeping track of study interruptions, transfers, suspensions, and withdrawals. You will collaborate with different departments within the organization and address informal student complaints, reference requests during busy periods, and assist with onboarding support like distributing ID cards.

Furthermore, you should be prepared to perform any other reasonable tasks associated with the role, ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and university policies, including GDPR. Participation in relevant training and professional development is also expected.

Choose a better work-life balance

In addition, you’ll have the flexibility of a home-based role, with the option to work from one of our centres should you wish. Either way, you’ll benefit from a vibrant workplace and a culture that believes in looking after others, while being part of a diverse workforce where difference is celebrated. In addition, you’ll work alongside other like-minded professionals who champion progress, while having opportunities to develop in an environment where creativity and innovation is rewarded. On top of a competitive salary, we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 28 days, and there’s a rewards package that includes retail discounts, Group Personal Pension Plan, dedicated healthcare, and dental plans that offer additional assurance to look after you and your family. Brilliantly, you can also study any of BPP’s courses for free – be it a professional qualification or full degree.
