Legacy Administration Executive Full Time

Our Church & Supporter Engagement team are looking for a Legacy Administrative Executive to be our specialist in legacy administration.


You will be responsible for a dedicated caseload that includes Pecuniary and residuary legacies and deeds of variation, ensuring that Tearfund receives its full entitlement in a timely manner, whilst protecting our reputation and adding value to gifts, where possible.


We are looking for someone with experience in:



  • Probate administration and legacy administration, including contentious probate

  • Working within a customer/supporter focused environment, providing professional and sensitive customer service.

  • Working with a dedicated legacy administration database, such as FirstClass

  • Probate law and estate administration where a charity has been left either a specific, pecuniary or residuary legacy

  • Charity law (as it applies to charity legacies), taxes applicable to estates and probate/trust law and processes


We are looking for a candidate who has:



  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to build relationships

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to build relationships

  • The ability to communicate sympathetically with recently bereaved people

  • Strong IT skills
