IT Infrastructure Analyst

A leading London law firm is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Infrastructure Analyst to join their dynamic IT department which currently comprises a team of twelve on a permanent basis operating a hybrid working environment which currently consists of 2 days in the office and 3 days WFH.
You will be a confident communicator with a positive work ethic and the ability to build credible relationships with clients both internal and external. They are looking for an individual who presents themselves with professionalism and who will inspire the confidence of clients and colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role will aid the Senior IT Infrastructure and Applications Manager (SITIAM) in projects and infrastructure changes, provide continual service improvements to the firm’s systems and to provide 3rd level assistance to the IT support function.
General:
To provide 3rd line support to the service desk
Problem management for the service desk
Mobile administration
Administration of the service desk software
Proactive review of software patching of servers, PC’s, laptops and applications
Packaging and deployments of new software
Testing of all new software applications being introduced
Group policy updates and backups of the system
Network monitoring including disk space utilisation
New partner transitions and on boarding
System Center Configuration Manager administration
To work alongside the SITIAM when performing system upgrades
To work alongside the Senior Applications Analyst for software upgrades, deployments and troubleshooting of issues
To work alongside the Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst for core infrastructure upgrades, deployments and troubleshooting of issues
To instruct the IT Trainer on new systems and assist in producing training aids
To be involved with steering committees to aid the smooth transition of new services into the business
To proactively assist the service desk on new product rollouts
To review how current systems are used by spending time with the users, write a specification for improvements then liaise with the IT Trainer and the Senior Systems Developer to ensure that the changes are implemented
Remote access and support tools
Checking and remediating issues from backup jobs
Support:
To cover for holidays and planned absences as agreed with SITIAM. Holiday cannot be taken when SITA is away.
Ensure the IT bible is kept up to date
Maintaining and keeping up to date Infrastructure documentation
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of legal industry systems including iManage, Interaction and Intapp time;
Experience with SCCM, Azure AD Intune and O365 is highly desirable;
Expert knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications to include Windows 10, Office 2016;
Exposure/knowledge of ITIL change management, release and deployment management and configuration management;
Testing methodologies;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Technology Stack including Windows Server, SQL Server & SharePoint;
Strong people skills and a good team player;
