Desktop Support Engineer Full Time

The Desktop Services Engineer will be working as a member the UK based desktop team performing 1st/2nd line support for the workstation and application environment including the relevant infrastructure. This includes Workstation / application builds and deployment including workstation related projects to the business.

What will you be doing?

Ownership of Incident & Problem management requests relating to the workstation environments
Working on projects and tasks as directed by the Desktop Operations Senior Manager, meeting the required standards and expectations to the business
Working with the Desktop team on tuning the Workstation environment according to the business needs
Working to ensure Workstation Integrity is always maintained and Performance issues are quickly addressed
Support and Maintaining Application packaging and deployment
Handling day-to-day workstation 1ST & 2ND line support enquires
keeping the central Desktop documentation repository for all Desktop staff to access up to date with relevant changes
Assisting the team lead in the diagnosis of inconsistencies relating to workstation and Business and Application issues
Working to ensure support expectations are met whilst promoting good customer service
Assist in developing opportunities for improving service and product delivery for workstation requirements
Embrace the ‘’One Paramount’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working
Be an ambassador for all Paramount channels, internally and externally
Adopt and promote the Paramount values and support a culture of inclusion

What are we looking for?

Complete understanding of workstation operating systems including Microsoft and Apple
Experience of providing application support to standard workstation products
Technical experience of Microsoft infrastructure applications (Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM & Jamf)
Must understand the value and potential of technology in business. Must also understand process and workflow
Experience of call logging and reporting systems
Good understanding of IT within a media business
Good understanding of the ITIL foundation

Minimum Language Requirement

Essential
Good written and spoken English and an ability to communicate with technical and business staff at all levels
