The role is



Cashplus Bank are delighted to be offering an opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our technology and project delivery team on an initial 12 month Fixed-Term-Contract basis.





Within this exciting and varied role, the IT Project Manager will co-ordinate internal technology, workstream and business resources across a variety of projects for more than 250 colleagues nationwide.



Furthermore, this IT Project Manager job will help drive delivery of project objectives, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed on progress and that any issues are escalated in a timely manner.

The expectation for this role, will involve a minimum of one day each month - working out of our London Bridge office.



What you'll be doing



Project Delivery


  • Drive Delivery of designated projects to scope, time and budget

  • Work with Project Sponsors to author Project Initiation Documents and ensure these include robust business cases

  • Organise and facilitate project kick-off sessions

  • Co-ordinate the discovery phase and capture/document high-level requirements (functional and non-functional)Complete weekly and monthly project status reporting for wider business review and prioritisation

  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date

  • Identify internal and external dependencies with other projects

  • Where required, create or update work tickets in our JIRA task management system

  • Facilitate formal closure of completed projects, including capture of Lessons Learned





Resource Management


  • Identify resource requirements during initiation and work with stakeholders to secure resource

  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource level project plans and monitor their delivery

  • Identify resource constraints/dependencies ahead of time and resolve conflicts to bring delivery back on track




Stakeholder Engagement


  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including project workstreams, vendors and senior management

  • Lead and facilitate project steering meetings, ensuring conversation continues to topic, meeting objectives are realised and they run to time.

  • Create and maintain steering packs, meeting minutes and RAIDD logs

  • Collaborate with Technology Department Heads to ensure impacts to testing, platform, information security and service desk / application support are fully considered

  • Work with the wider business to ensure they are adequately prepared for change and that handover to BAU state is considered




Risk and Control Management


  • Engage the 2nd & 3rd level teams to ensure business wide risks are considered

  • Proactively identify and manage Project risks and issues, and establish pragmatic mitigating actions to minimise their impact on the project

  • Ensure all systems, processes and procedures are built to operate safely within risk appetite and the risk appetite of any breaches is low to nil

  • Conduct regular risk and assurance reviews and publish outcomes





You'll need to have



  • Experience in a senior project level role with additional Scrum Master related exposure

  • Experience of managing complex change projects

  • Confidence in escalating issues where there are project blockers

  • To lead, motivate and manage cross-functional project teams

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels (Written and verbal)

  • Experience of estimating and managing budgets

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of formal Project Management methodologies such as (PRINCE2/Agile/APMP)
