IT Support Engineer

A Luxury Retailer in Fulham, London are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their IT team on a permanent basis.
This would be the ideal position for somebody who either already has commercial IT experience and would like to progress more or someone with IT qualifications looking for their first IT Support role as thorough training will be provided.
About the Role
This role will be reporting to the Head of IT/Technical Lead and the Technical Director, responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Desktop and Application Support and Network Support (basic):
Connect, set up and check PCs and peripherals for normal operation.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including installing basic software packages and setting common options.
Responsible for setup of audiovisual equipment across three sites
Configuration & Installation:
Update records of installed hardware and software;
Reconfigure machines to work with updates to software (for instance Adobe products,
FileMaker databases, remote access or antivirus software, among others)
Continuity, Maintenance & Security:
Follow routine maintenance procedures.
Follow backup, virus protection and security procedures.
Record and respond to support requests through ticket portal.
Prioritise resolution of problems with assistance from managers, then follow up outstanding issues
Communications:
Support staff in the use of ICT resources through direct interaction and by producing simple help sheets.
Report to the managers any potential issues that may arise.
Process warranty claims
Strategy & Planning:
Assist the managers in identifying possible ICT requirements and solutions, acting as boots on the ground during pre-emptive testing/planning
Peripherals, spare laptops and Ipads: loan of equipment:
Working with managers, responsible for logging booking in and out of machines and peripherals, not limited to laptops, AV kit, Ipads, mobile phones etc.
Manual Ability:
To carry/handle equipment to and from departments to service areas and to carry out any other physical duties as required.
Longterm, learn to take apart, repair, upgrade and reassemble machines on site (training will be provided if not currently learned).
Part of general maintenance and development work includes working at height, installing network cabinets and general DIY.
Health & Safety:
Carry out basic safety checks. Follow relevant H&S procedures and raise awareness among staff.
Events
Setting up audio/visual equipment for events.
