About the Company

Our client is a leading insurance firm based in City of London.

Position Overview

As a Business Analyst you will act as a bridge between business units, internal development teams, IT Infrastructure and third party suppliers to help ensure successful project delivery.

A major part of the role involves analysing the business’s processes and systems, investigating the current situation, identifying gaps and documenting improvements required. You will manage the requirements catalogue / product backlog for most projects and will be a crucial point of contact for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and facilitate workshops, interviews, and prototyping sessions to prompt requirements.


• Create and maintain requirements documentation to gain stakeholder agreement and guide developers.


• Manage the full requirements life-cycle, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management


• Becoming the expert in the systems requirements during the implementation of a project


• Produce requirements appendices such as use cases, process diagrams, and technical specifications.


• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and write test scripts, analysing discrepancies and making recommendations for updates.


• Obtain correct authorisations and follow processes as required by the organisation

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and personal qualities

• 3-5 years of business analyst experience in an insurance-related organisation.


• Experience in implementing complex corporate and transactional trading solutions for large insurance organisations (e.g., CRM, broking, underwriting, document management systems).


• Proficient in planning, managing, and facilitating workshops, interviews, and prototyping sessions.


• Ability to work in a waterfall or Agile project environment


• Educated to degree level with a relevant degree e.g. Computing, Information Technology or Business.


• Ability to convey information using various artefacts such as, conceptual architecture, mock-up screens and wireframes.


• Experience in UAT management, including writing test scripts and analysing discrepancies in service or performance
