Job Purpose
Are you a committed IT professional and enjoy supporting others? Do you have experience in IT Support? This could be your next role!
What you’ll be doing
By joining BPP as an IT Support Specialist, you will be ensuring effective delivery of IT services to staff and students. Areas of focus include supporting BPP’s hardware estate, such as desktops, laptops and Operating Systems. Another area would be being the point of escalation for the 1st Line IT Service Desk and IT Support Technicians. If there were to be any major incidents, you would be assisting with the coordination, management and resolution of this. Managing requests, problems and changes within the Service Now system is another key part of this role.
Alongside these responsibilities, you will be liaising with other teams within the IT department to assist with resolving any incidents and request, in addition to any ongoing project work. As well as this, you will be proactively managing your assigned sites and making suggestions for improvements and innovation.
When it comes to supporting colleagues and staff with IT issues, you will be using different methods to do this. Remote assistance will be completed by using prescribed tools such as Windows Quick Assist and GoToResolve. Telephone assistance will be done by a range of systems, such as Microsoft Teams and Vonage. For mobile device support and any administration, this will be done by using Intune.
Choose a better work-life balance
With hybrid working available, you’ll be able to split your time between one of our centres and wherever you choose to call home. Either way, you’ll benefit from a vibrant workplace and a culture that believes in looking after others, while being part of a diverse workforce where difference is celebrated. In addition, you’ll work alongside other like-minded professionals who champion progress, while having opportunities to develop in an environment where creativity and innovation is rewarded. On top of a competitive salary, we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 28 days, and there’s a rewards package that includes retail discounts, Group Personal Pension Plan, dedicated healthcare, and dental plans that offer additional assurance to look after you and your family. Brilliantly, you can also study any of BPP’s courses for free – be it a professional qualification or full degree.
