Who we are:
St Paul’s C E Primary School is situated within a spacious open environment elevated upon a hill in Royton in which pupils enjoy outdoor learning in a variety of contexts. The school is a one form entry Church of England Primary School with a Nursery and an Additional Resourced Provision for pupils with Language and Communication difficulties with a specialism for children with Autism. It is also a founding member of the Oldham International Peace Schools.
The Governors at St Paul’s CE Primary school, Royton are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, organised and efficient clerical assistant to work in the busy school office. As first point of contact for parents and visitors, you will uphold the school’s ethos and provide a friendly and helpful welcome, whilst carrying out daily administrative duties.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent communication skills across a wide team of people working in a school
- Have experience within an office environment
- Demonstrate commitment, motivation and responsibility for tasks that will support the office manager to compete her financial duties
- Be an effective team member with very high expectations of themselves
- Be enthusiastic, and demonstrate positivity at all times
- Be an effective communicator able to develop strong relationships with parents, carers, pupils and visitors
- Remain professional at all times
- To have a secure understanding of SIMS
- Have administrative experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment (preferably a school environment)
- Be confident in using IT including Word, Excel and Management Information systems
- Be thorough, efficient and pay attention to detail in completing tasks
- Be highly organised to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Be familiar with Safeguarding, GDPR, Data Protection, and the need to keep information confidential
- Have experience in basic bookkeeping and cash handling, and may include placing orders and payment of invoices
This job will be ideal for someone who has a calm, caring approach; who is engaging and positive, takes initiative and who has experience of working with a wide range of personnel under the direction of the office Manager.
