Medical Secretary/Senior Administrator Full Time

To provide comprehensive administrative support and to manage and co-ordinate the administrative and ancillary support function, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources. The post holder will have line management responsibility for the administration, clerical and support staff, and will be responsible for the coordination of the validation of all reports coming into the service in regards to data quality and data completeness also will provide a full and comprehensive PA role for the consultant.

You will be a well organised and experienced secretary with knowledge of medical terminology. Appropriate electronic and paper filing systems will be maintained, along with coordinating their clinical activities. The post holder will be responsible for the assurance of meeting all local and national targets, flagging up any issues that may come to light.
Ensuring all systems and processes are adequate and effective in ensuring all service users are received, treated and discharge from service within nationally and locally agreed timeframes.To be involved in the development and establishment of all new systems and procedures to support the Service. To facilitate regular team meetings ensuring staff are fully aware of all issues relating to the trust.Undertake audio/shorthand/clerical duties for your consultants, including minute taking as required, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting. This may include administrative support relating to consultant tutorial work.
