Learning Support Administrator

Closing Date: 11/10/2023 Hours: 18 per week, Term Time only Salary: £9,654.74 pro rata per annum i.e. £23,623.04 per annum
Purpose
To ensure the provision of a quality administrative support for the Learning Support Department, working in conjunction with the Head of Learning Support and Managers. To provide administration support to the Head of Learning Support for High Needs Funding Claims. To ensure the appropriate audit trail is in place to ensure Local Authority funding is claimed. To provide administration support for the for the Education, Health and Care Planning and Review process, ensuring Local Authority documentation is submitted in line with legislated timescales. To provide administrative support for the Exams Access Arrangements assessment process.
Duties
- To undertake word processing, establish and maintain spreadsheets, and use of other computerised applications as required by the Head of Learning Support and Managers.
- To receive and communicate information effectively and efficiently in supporting the Head of Learning Support and Managers.
- To liaise with cross college functions, outside agencies and learners to ensure accurate record keeping and monitoring, and to collect and collate statistics.
- To work with cross college functions and the Learning Support Managers to maintain and update record systems to meet the statistical and reporting requirements including financial records – establishing and maintaining of audit trails in respect of financial transactions and funding systems within Learning Support and in accordance with the College’s financial procedures.
- To maintain systems for correspondence on behalf of the Learning Support Managers.
- To participate fully in the required training and professional development essential for the role.
- To work closely with all other areas of the College and act as link ensuring effective communication and good working relationships to create a service that is open, friendly and responsive to learners, their families and all users.
- To assist in the development and maintenance of electronic filing systems.
- Contribute to the development of a responsive and proactive team in order to prioritise and meet Learning Support deadlines.
- Attend operational meetings with Head of Learning Support and Managers as and when required and appropriate.
- To engage in continuous professional development.
- Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility as may be required.
