Community Administrator Full Time

We are looking to recruit a pro-active, enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Administrator with strong administration and team working skills and a commitment to delivering high quality service, to support the TCR Team based at Meadway, Sale. This is a part time position working 37.50 hours,

This is an interesting post where you will have the opportunity to work alongside and deliver all administration processes. The Business Support Administrator will assist the Senior Business Support Officer in providing an efficient business support function within a neighbourhood or specialist service area. They will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, patients and other stakeholders to meet service need as part of the All Age Integrated Health and Social Care Service.

Our community healthcare teams in adults and children's services are employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work as one and together we will make a massive difference to the health of people in Trafford.


  • Handling of incoming telephone calls in a professional manner

  • Send letters to patients and GPs

  • Update internal systems with patient information / updates

  • Creating patient files

  • Stock control for frequently used supplies

  • Typing of letters using specific templates on EMIS

  • To organise and send out review appointments

  • Typing of minutes

  • Discharged patients who have cancelled or DNA, when asked by clinician, discharge from EMIS and send out letter to GP

  • Book Interpreters when necessary

  • Booking Rooms

  • Taking and relaying accurate messages

  • Managing incoming queries by email and internal system tasks / adding referrals and patient contacts to the patient electronic system (EMIS)

  • Booking appointments over the telephone on EMIS

  • Ordering and monitoring of equipment, medical supplies and stationery

  • Deal with distressed and upset patients / family member and carers

  • Creating patient files

  • Archiving

  • Report and follow up on any Estates or Health and Safety issues
