Rocksteady Studios is an award-winning, critically acclaimed video game developer. Founded in 2004, we are home to the widely celebrated Batman: Arkham series of games. Your New Role...



Rocksteady is seeking a hands-on Information Technology Director who will be an integral member of the leadership team and the global WBIE Games Technology Services team. This role will manage the IT function and design, socialize and implement overall IT strategy, vision and goals for the studio.



This role is on-site at least three days per week with the option to work from home on other days.



Your Role Accountabilities…



  • Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for enabling efficient and cost-effective technologies to provide a customer-centric set of services


  • Establish and promote the implementation of overall IT department vision, mission and goals


  • Manage the IT team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions


  • Budget and vendor management


  • Work closely with the WBIE global team on strategic projects and initiatives


  • Provide hands-on technical skills




Qualifications & Experience…



  • Demonstrate relevant IT experience, including time served in a management position


  • Excellent level of technical knowledge encompassing operating systems, SANs, firewalls, virtualisation, networking and cloud computing.


  • Understanding of security best practices


  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management


  • Experience in the games industry or other creative organisations is preferred


  • Ability to write scripts in PowerShell or Python is desirable


  • Experience with any of the following is an advantage: Perforce or other version control software, Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence, Team City, Render farms, Supporting audio and motion capture teams, Unreal Engine
