Robert Walters has partnered with a leading Business Travel Management firm who are looking for an IT Field Services Engineer to join their team!

The Field Services Engineer, administers, tests, implements, troubleshoots, and maintains Infrastructure architectures to include all related Information Systems and their components. Provides 2nd level support for Information System related issues, including its relative subcomponents. Evaluates, tests, and contributes to recommendations on Information Systems and their impact on existing system configurations. Independently researches and resolves moderately to highly complex technical problems.

As an IT Field Services Engineer, you will:

• Windows Client Administration


• Microsoft Endpoint Manager


• MS Active Directory and MS Office 365 knowledge


• Support of internal customers with technical questions and support issues


• Installation, relocation, or maintenance of hardware (primarily endpoints)


• Planning, coordination, and execution of office openings, moves and closures

Core Responsibilities:

Windows Client Admin:

• (Re-) imaging of desktops and laptops via Microsoft Intune Admin Center


• Deployment and (re-) installation of software via Microsoft Intune Admin Center


• Support on Microsoft Office 365 applications


• Knowledge of troubleshooting common hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops, including Windows 10 / 11

Installation, relocation or maintenance of hardware (primarily endpoints):

• Onsite installation of IT equipment


• Planning, coordination, and execution of office openings, moves and closures


• Pre-clarification of other local infrastructure components


• Cabling & patching


• Remote resource for 3rd level IT functions


• Familiarity with AV equipment, manage other local peripheral hardware issues/requests

Systems and service infrastructure:

• Microsoft Active Directory / Azure


• Microsoft Exchange email services with Outlook client


• Provision of print services


• Support on distributed file system

Good communication and customer service skills:

• Support of internal customers with technical questions and support issues


• Able to create/revise documentation thoroughly for use and training


• Complete tasks required to maintain service levels


• Escalate cases to appropriate teams when necessary

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years technical experience in a 24 x 7 IT environment


• Good communication skills, oral, written and presentation


• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


• Good customer services skills

This is an onsite role ranging up to £35000.
