The Opportunity


QBE Europe is looking to recruit an IT reporting analyst to join Alex Kent’s team. As the IT Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for EO Transformation and Technology Services reporting. You will be required to ensure the clarity, accuracy and overall quality of information is provided to the relevant audiences at the right time. You will have a focus on automating and improving the reporting process to minimise manual input and maximise the value delivered. You will work closely with colleagues within and beyond the Transformation and Technology department, helping them to quantify and qualify the performance of the IT Services we provide, assisting with analysis of the data and identification of themes and focus areas for improvement. You will be well positioned to gain a broad understanding of all activity taking place within the department, attending and minuting key performance and governance meetings chaired by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and her leadership team.



You will be a member of the IT Operations Practice Management team, which is responsible for the tools, processes and consistent practices used by communities across the IT department. You will have multiple opportunities to get involved in activities beyond the formal scope of your role and we are particularly looking for someone with a technical aptitude who would be interested in developing their knowledge of Project Online, Power BI and JIRA.



You are required to be proactive, capable of effective communication across a range of key stakeholders, flexible, efficient, change focused and to act as an ambassador for the EO Transformation and Tech Services team.



Your new role


Strategy and Planning




  • Aware of IT strategy to effectively report on services provided and progress against strategy.



  • Participate in all internal meetings, as required, to share and develop knowledge and best practice.



  • Positively promote the department, division, and company, to maximize brand leverage.



  • Contribute to the development of the IT Operations plans to maximize service delivery.



Reporting




  • Work with stakeholders to understand the different reporting requirements for the Technology Services department.



  • Working closely with the different IT functions, develop new reports or improve on existing reports to meet stakeholder requirements.



  • Ensure reports are produced in line with any reporting cycles, coordinating all parties that are required to provide input.



  • Ensure reports are distributed/communicated to the appropriate audiences in a timely manner.



Future Focus




  • Drive improvements of the reporting process, focussing on automating the production of the various reports wherever possible to minimise manual efforts and maximise the time that is spent on improvements (of both reporting and other processes)



  • Analyse IT data to identify high level trends with core processes to inform improvement plans and measure their effectiveness.



  • Build ad hoc IT surveys to provide feedback to help improve service.



  • Provide advice and guidance to team members to understand outputs from surveys and other data gathered so that proper improvements are in place.




About You




  • Good working knowledge of key IT Services, functions, and processes



  • Experience of producing reports – skilled in the use of MS PowerPoint



  • Experience of using Power BI



  • Experience of using Project Online an advantage



  • Experience of using JIRA an advantage
