Job Description
We have partnered with a global premium fashion company who are seeking a highly motivated individual to be the first point of contact for IT support. This role reports into the IT Manager.
Knowledge of retail Head office function and a minimum of 3 years' experience is essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To support and assist in the day to day running of the IT function of a premium fashion retailer.
- To provide company-wide assistance with a range of IT operations and projects.
- Provide end-user device support, whether laptops, mobile devices, or office applications, in the form of ad hoc advice to users, either verbally or via written documentation.
- Assist in the running of the company IT Helpdesk and ticket management system, resolving logged errors in a timely manner.
- Administer the setup of new hardware and software for new starters along with any other required hardware/software set up across the business.
- Where necessary, provide training for new users on both hardware functionality and software.
- Liaise with third party suppliers and partners to ensure the smooth running of their vital systems within the business, conduct high-level troubleshooting of functionality and when necessary, escalate issues.
- Ensure user desktop connectivity to the network is in accordance with networking standards, policy and infrastructure.
- Co-ordinate with other IT team members to assist in the management of servers, networks, and cybersecurity.
- Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics, documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.
- Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.
Person Specification:
- Be fully conversant with all areas of desktop IT support including Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft applications.
- knowledge and understanding of email and email protocols, and of wired and wireless networking protocols.
- Have a knowledge and understanding of security solutions for the protection against and removal of viruses and malware.
- Preferred to have knowledge/ familiarity with ERP tools.
- Must have SAP experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to prioritise and schedule workload in the face of conflicting demands.
