Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows based operating systems.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to
optimize performance and reliability.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, addressing any
issues that arise promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure security measures and access controls are in place.
- Perform routine system updates, patch management, and vulnerability
remediation for both Linux and Windows systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions that
meet business requirements.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for Linux
and Windows environments.
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and
configuration management tools.
- Conduct security audits, implement security measures, and proactively
address vulnerabilities in both Linux and Windows systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users,
resolving Linux, Windows, and firewall-related issues.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to
maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
The right candidate
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Strong proficiency in Linux,
and good knowledge of networking, Windows Server, and firewall
management.
- Good familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and networking
concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Cloud)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose
and resolve complex system issues.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security
measures in Linux, Windows environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to document system configurations and
procedures accurately.
