What is in it for you?


In this exciting role you’ll be part of the IT Operations Leadership Team, setting the vision for colleague support at Octopus. You’ll be leading a team, delivering continuous service improvement and outstanding customer service.


The team:


This role reports to the CIO (Chief Information Officer) and sits on the IT Operations Leadership Team. As the IT Support Manager, you’ll be leading a team of Support Staff, Engineers, and other technical professionals, overseeing a team of 15 people.


What will you be doing?



  • Oversee all areas of IT Service Delivery including Service Desk, Desktop Support and Desktop Deployment

  • Direct report for Team Managers, and oversee a team of 15 people

  • Be a champion for your team, providing inclusive leadership that inspires and brings everyone on the journey

  • Lead a programme of continuous service improvement that delivers both an ever-improving service and excellent customer experience

  • Be a key member of the IT Operations Leadership Team, contributing to the IT Strategy and providing day to day leadership





Qualifications

Ideally you’ll have:


✅ Experience running Service Delivery teams, or have been a senior team leader within a large organisation and now looking for a step up


✅ You know ITIL like the back of your hand, and which bits add the most value


✅ Your Financial Services experience has given you a good working knowledge of the typical tools and systems used within our industry


✅ You get excited about continuous service improvement and customer experience and are passionate about building and leading high-performance teams


✅ In-depth understanding of the best ways to produce, communicate and consume MI (the main system is JIRA)
