We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Assistant to the Head of a continuously growing privately-owned group of diverse and well established businesses. The role offers a competitive salary depending on experience and operates a discretionary bonus scheme. You will be working as part of a 'close knit' team, making an impact in this rewarding and varied role. In order to succeed, you will be used to working in a fast paced, ever changing environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be required to:
- Act as main point of contact for the Chairman and other members of the Board of Directors as required.
- Produce a high standard and wide variety of written work from handwritten and verbal dictation with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
- Co-ordinate and effectively prioritise incoming correspondence and requests for the Chairman to enable time effective review. Identify urgent matters and prepare draft correspondence for review as and when required.
- Undertake extensive diary management, efficiently managing the Chairman’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and appointments. Book all travel and flight arrangements for the Board of Directors.
- Front of house duties: dealing with incoming calls and enquiries, transferring calls appropriately and taking accurate messages.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including solicitors, relationship directors, and insurance brokers.
- Participate in and manage any special projects as directed by the Chairman, ensuring timely completion. Conduct research as required by the Chairman and collate information and documentation as required for the preparation of papers, reports and meetings.
- Complete day-to-day office management duties such as managing outgoing and incoming post, maintaining up to date electronic and hard copy filing systems and provide general administrative support to the office.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organisation skills
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Confident with Microsoft Office and Video calling software
Due to the rural location, you will ideally have access to your own transport.
