Medical Secretary/PA
at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust London in London (Published at 27-09-2023)
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated experienced Medical Secretary / PAs with excellent minute-taking skills on a full-time permanent basis working 37.5 hours a week. You should have excellent typing and organisational skills with 50-60wpm, be well organised with a meticulous approach to work and have excellent communication skills.
You will need to be self-motivated and able to manage your own working time effectively and be computer literate. You will be educated to GCSE level and have the AMSPAR qualification or an equivalent secretarial qualification. Previous NHS medical secretarial experience is essential.
Please note, if successful to interview, you will undergo a typing test on the day.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed. The probationary period may be extended
Or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy. For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.

To manage and own workload to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and turned around in accordance with Trust target timescales. To have comprehensive understanding of the work of the service and using knowledge, initiative and skills to their full potential in order to significantly contribute to the smooth running of the service.
