We have an exciting opportunity for a Pathology IT Administrator to join our IT team on a 22-month fixed term contract. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ), with a hybrid working model. We are also offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile


This role will form part of the project team for the new LIMS system, you will be providing technical knowledge expertise for the administration of the new LIMS system alongside with using your knowledge of lab operations, testing procedures and instruments.


You will also be working closely with the chiefs to ensure requirements are well understood and configured as expected while adhering to best practises.



  • Job Type: This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Contract: 22-month fixed term contract.

  • Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum

  • Location: 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Baker Street and Regents Park stations) – this role will offer a hybrid working approach.

· Defining and creating required access levels and setting up users.


· Setting up and Configuration of devices such as Printers, Computers and Instruments.


· Communicate effectively and be a Liaison between the LAB and IT.


· Creating Patient reports for the various disciplines within Pathology.


· Updating SOPs for Rules, Patient reports and Test Calculations.


· Coordination with other Clinical applications e.g. Meditech and Onbase.


Skills & Experience


· 4-5 years’ experience of working in a lab and managing a LIMS system.


· Experience with APEX LIMS would be advantageous.


· Understanding Instrument, Test Procedures, and rules management within a LIMS system is essential.


· Experience of working in a Private Health Care environment is desirable.
