Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,500 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.
In this role you will be supporting the Category Manager to deliver growth plans, through daily use of several data sources turning this market and store data into reports and presentations, enabling you to understand the market and identify opportunities for both Greencore and Customer growth.
Your role will be to support the category team to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customer's growth plans. You'll support the team in reviewing customer ranges, highlighting range gaps, analysing sales, and providing insights into new product development.
You will work closely with the commercial and food development teams along with our customers to develop your knowledge of the industry and become an expert in your field, so being a solid team play is a must.
The role;
- Download and manipulate data from retailer and market data systems using Excel
- Collect information on ranges and prices by visiting stores
- Respond to ad hoc queries from internal and external customers
- Create PowerPoint slides on market information
- Raise and track purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely financial management
Ideal candidate:
- It is essential that you can demonstrate a passion for the customer and a flair for commerciality
- Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
- You will have excellent planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude
- A good knowledge of the retail, and commercial reasoning is desirable.
- You must be confident enough, taking personal accountability to deliver against set tasks and objectives.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and keen eye for detail
- Must have full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
The role does offer hybrid working, however, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to a Greencore site to work at least weekly, and visit our customers stores on a regular basis.
