The role
As an IT Operations Intern at QS, you'll support critical IT functions that ensure the smooth operation and enhancement of our systems across the EMEA region.
You'll be deeply involved in optimising AV configurations, asset management, and security updates, playing a vital role in overcoming IT backlogs.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to IT processes that connect QS's global community of learners and educators.

Role responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic IT Operations Intern to join our IT team at the London office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in IT systems, asset management, and user support.
- Support AV Systems: Reconfigure and troubleshoot AV systems in meeting rooms to resolve existing issues and optimise performance.
- Guide Development: Assist in creating or updating user-friendly guides for AV room devices and in-office resources.
- Asset Life Cycle Management: Identify obsolete and unused assets, ensure their environmentally responsible disposal, and help manage the integration of new assets into inventory.
- Asset Management and Compliance: Update and maintain asset tags and hostnames, ensuring accuracy with QS asset identifiers and compliance with internal policies.
- Policy Documentation: Collaborate on developing comprehensive policies and procedures to streamline IT operations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT specialists and other stakeholders to ensure our systems align with organisational goals.
Key skills and experience
- Enrolled in, or recently completed, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of information technology systems and asset management practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and IT operations. Strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, especially in asset disposal.
